2005: May 12-14: The 12th Annual SPCR Conference

The 12th Annual Conference of the Society for Pastoral Counselling Research will be held from May 12-14, 2005, at Assumption University, The St. Basil Institute for Counselling & Mental Health Education, Windsor, Ontario. Joseph Quinn and Paul Rennick have graciously offered to host the conference. ; The theme of this conference will be on ageing. Manuscripts which touch on any aspect of ageing are welcome. Of particular interest are papers which report new research findings, be they qualitative or quantitative. A call for papers will be announced later this fall. However, now is the time to plan for a paper presentation.

Pastor Lois Knutson, M.Div, has offered to hold the pre-conference workshop and be the keynote speaker. Pastor Knutson specializes in senior-adult ministry and has worked as a pastor and hospital and nursing home chaplain. She is a graduate of the Gerontological Care Institute for Aging, Religion and Spirituality at Luther Seminary in St. Paul Minnesota. Pastor Knutson published Understanding the Senior Adult: A Tool for Wholistic Ministry (1999). She is a frequent speaker at workshops, seminars, conferences and national conventions.
